Dassera Art Space
Dassera is a groundbreaking space of cultural activity in Athens. Functioning as an independent centre of artistic expression and collective philosophical activity. it features a program of alternative projects, including art exhibitions, film and video screenings, installation projects, innovative performances, musical events, literature sessions, book presentations as well as experimental collaborations between artists and theorists.
Award winning conceptual photographer Claudio Allia's works have been exhibited in Dassera in 2010 inviting Athens' art aficionados to "A Trip through Vision and Dreams"
In an exciting exhibition titled "Picture it", Dassera Art Space showcased for the first time in Greece the amazing works of Matt Jordan, who is internationally renowned for his original style.
Distinguished soprano Katia Paschou, the tenor Konstantinos Klironomos and the internationally acknowledged pianist Argyris Papasifakis offered Dassera Art Space's guests an unforgettable night.
In the words of Venetia Evripiotou, this art exhibition explored "the path from darkness to light of two people who share the experience of living in each other without knowing it. Relieved of the earthy restrictions they suffer a painful existence until they meet each other".
Encage the City
A collective art exhibition invited the city to a unique event that aimed at expressing "the need for nature to grow, collect its immense power, hunt the city and encage it, until it reverses the rule".
The people behind the scenes take center stage. It is those who have contributed with their vision, their ideas, their work, their support and even their simple, yet precious presence, to every single artistic project undertaken by the Artes Liberales and Dassera team.
We are paying tribute to all of them, hoping that this mystifying circle of inspiring people will keep growing.
Here are some of our happiest moments together...
