Her huge collection of hats includes ordinary baseball caps and classic bowlers, as well as ethnic traditional hats from the most remote parts of the world and extreme creations with flowers and big feathers. You name the hat and she has it! Meanwhile, she works as an interior decorator at the office of a rather conservative architect, George, with whom she is romantically involved.

This short film starts on a colorful jolly morning, with Alina Hatson in her apartment filled with hats, happily preparing for George’s birthday. On her way to the office she has made plans for a unique celebration with champagne, a special gift and of course the appropriate hat –a light blue cake with a candle on top of it. However, nothing works out the way she planned and she soon finds herself devastated and heartbroken.

A random meeting with a Syrian street seller of (what else?) hats, turns into a profound conversation that helps her see things in a new light, while her new positive point of view begins to take over the entire city!
